Carlos Mellis

Commercial Engineer of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), Brazil, and Lawyer of the University of Sao Paulo. He holds a Master’s in finance from FGV, with an exchange at the Stockholm School of Economics (Handels) and published a dissertation entitled “Asset valuation according to the model of options”.

He has more than 25 years of experience leading various companies and infrastructure projects (Generation and Transmission of Electric Power, Oil and Gas, Roads, Railways, Airports, Ports, Water Management, Public and Private Partnerships, among others).

As Chief of Financing Project of Itau BBA and formerly Unibanco, he had the opportunity to evaluate and advise more than 200 infrastructure projects. He also worked at Alupar, LAP, Unilever, General Motors and Banco Indusval.

Among his capacities, he highlights the decision making based on the economic and financial evaluation of the projects, as well as the analysis of risk and return; and has expertise to support projects in the search for financing.

I decided to join Chile Global Angels because it is a unique opportunity to invest in projects, assessing their risks together with a range of experts, where you can learn a lot from the exchange of diverse experiences that converge there. It’s time to take risks.
